The driver was rescued from the burning car by a group of strangers.

“He was awake. He was telling me to pull him out, pull him out, pull him out,” said Kadir Tolla, one of the men who came to the driver’s rescue.

The footage shows men and women trying to pry the door open as the car was engulfed in flames. One person used a type of plastic to help break the glass and free the driver.

The driver did not suffer serious injuries, according to the New York Post. Tolla said it could have been him, which is why he helped the driver.

“What would happen if I were in that situation and my life was in the hands of strangers I don’t even know,” he said. This content was created with the help of AI and reviewed by the editorial team.
